2025 Bond Election
On February 4, 2025, the Arlington City Council voted to call a Bond Election on May 3, 2025. This website includes a summary of the proposed propositions and projects, voter information guides, frequently asked questions, and a map of the proposed projects. You can review the current voter-authorized bond projects from previous bond elections on the City's General Obligation (G.O.) Bond Tracker dashboard. More detailed information about the City's bond program is available on the Bond Tracker website.
The City began preparing for a bond election in May 2024, engaging in a year-long process to prioritize projects. In August 2024, the City convened a 19-member Citizens' Bond Committee (CBC) to review potential projects and develop a Bond Program Recommendation for the City Council to consider. The CBC met over five weeks to review the proposed projects and develop a recommendation.
In December, the City Council accepted the CBC's recommendation and added one project. The proposed bond program includes 27 projects across five propositions (categories) for a total of $200.8 million. Arlington voters will have an opportunity to vote separately for each of the propositions. The five propositions for voter consideration are:
Proposition A | Streets: $136,995,000
Proposition B | Public Safety: $48,930,000
Proposition C | Parks and Recreation: $9,345,000
Proposition D | Downtown City Administrative Building: $3,105,000
Proposition E | Libraries: $2,425,000
