Big Dreams and Good People

The grand opening of the National Medal of Honor Museum is a night I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I was incredibly proud to be an American and equally proud to be born & raised in Arlington.

Arlington has always been a “Can-Do” city and a place where people believe in the American Dream. Bringing this museum here was a perfect example of that. It took years of work from our city leaders, business community, Chamber of Commerce and so many others to convince the museum that Arlington was the right home. After watching it all come together, being there on opening night was pretty amazing.

What stayed with me most was walking through the museum and reading the stories of Americans who showed extraordinary courage, sacrifice and love for their brothers and their country.

The night ended with an incredible fireworks and drone show over the lake. I remember looking around thinking, Man, this is happening right here in Arlington. It was one of the coolest nights of my life and a perfect example of what makes Arlington special. Big dreams, good people and a community that comes together to make things happen.
