My Hometown

When I was very young I traveled far and wide as an Air Force military dependent with my family. I promised myself that when I could I would settle down one day and never move again. Having lived here since 1971, I know that I have found my hometown. I have so many memories that choosing a few is so difficult. Meeting my future wife Lynda while working at Six Flags, beginning my OB/Gyn practice at Arlington Memorial Hospital in 1983, being elected to Chief of Medical Staff, selected Chair of the Board of trustees of Arlington Memorial, delivering thousands of babies to joyous families, the birth of my grandsons at my hospital, selected by all the DFW hospitals as Physician of the Year, honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of U.T.A., my last day as a practicing physician, and my continuing impact to improve the health of those we serve with the Texas Health Resources board. To whom much is given, much is expected and so to give back to my hometown it has been my great joy to serve as City Council member and Chair of the Planning and zoning Commission. I have played softball with my team since 1983 in Arlington and playing with one of the children I delivered and playing with my grandson has been special. What makes Arlington special? I believe that it is the symphony of all our memories that makes OUR hometown special to all of us. I give great thanks to my Hometown!
