The International Corridor in East Arlington runs along East Pioneer Parkway (Spur 303) between Center Street and the eastern city limit with Grand Prairie. This corridor is a culturally diverse commercial hub that is home to many restaurants, retailers, and other small businesses. In 2025, the International Corridor Steering Committee, made up of residents and stakeholders, identified top priorities for improvements, including improving pedestrian safety and lighting. Now, the City has funding to implement an initial set of projects to be completed by the end of the year.

This funding is provided through the Thriving Communities Program, which is funded by the US Department of Transportation. This initial set of projects will serve as a starting point for implementing the steering committee's broader priorities.

Thank you for helping us and our community partners improve the International Corridor so it is safer, more walkable, and more enjoyable for everyone who spends time here!
