Arlington by way of Mansfield

My Arlington story starts in Mansfield 1983. I started working at Mansfield Middle School and it did not take me long to realize Arlington had many things I enjoyed. One of my favorite activities was Wet n’ Wild during the summer. Of course I knew about 6 Flags, I mean who didn’t. Having grown up in the Northeast and having Ft. Worth grandparents I had visited the park a few times in the ‘69’s and ‘70’s. I LOVED the huge slide and was so sad when it got torn down. While being a teacher at the only middle school for a few years before Mansfield grew, I came to realize several of my students lived in Arlington. I loved going to see the Rangers in their original ballpark. Sitting in the blazing hot bleachers with my singles group from church was so much fun! Fast forward to the early 2000’s and I decided to make the move to South Arlington. I have not moved since. Currently I enjoy the Activ Center and many other amenities Arlington provides. It is a great place to live.
